Awesome MTB's 2020 Ramble Ride

Awesome MTB's 2020 Ramble Ride

It’s no secret that in the wake of a worldwide pandemic many people have reached for sanctuary and adventure in an old friend, the bicycle. And with travel outside the US pretty inaccessible for Americans, we’re finding new ways to experience the American landscape. Two members of the PNW Squad, Mo and Hannah Awesome of Awesome MTB, suited up their adventure rides with our Coast product line and joined a Ramble Ride to explore the northwest corner of Colorado riding from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs.

What are Ramble Rides?

They’re multi-day, semi-supported bikepacking trips focused on riding on as much dirt as possible, with insane views, and, of course, lots of beer. Using the phrase “bikepacking light,” Ramble Ride guides you on around 200 miles of adventure over four days with supported rider stops and catered camps. Makes sense that the Awesome’s jumped on the opportunity to adventure with this crew.

So, what’s the deal with these rides? For appx. $800 you get 4 days of incredible adventure, 4 days of food, full route support, drinks and adult beverages, and other swag and events depending on where you choose to ride. The Steamboat Ramble offers a personal tour of Moots Cycles facility once you get to Steamboat Springs.

To get a glimpse at the adventure they provided beautiful photos of the gravel ride.

Getting that climb on. At just shy of 23,000 feet of elevation gain for the whole ride, there's no shortage of climbing. If you're not used to grinding up gravel hills, you may want to train before signing up for a Ramble Ride.
