- Yep! You can trim the Range bar down if you prefer a narrower bar width. We have a guide on the bars for measurement ease.
- The minimum width the Range Handlebar can be trimmed to is 740mm.
- What happens if I cut them past the minimum cut width?
- Your friends will make fun of you.
- The clamping area for your controls (brakes/shifters/etc) may become too narrow to fit all your doodads.
- Cutting past the minimum cut marks can compromise the bars' structural integrity.
- You will lose stability and leverage if your bars are too narrow, making riding way less fun.
- The engineered ride quality of the bars will be compromised. Our bar is engineered to have more vertical deflection than horizontal, but if the bars are cut past the minimum cut mark, this deflection will be compromised.
Nope, they install just like any other alloy bar. The foil graphics are a bit more fragile than our typical handlebar graphics, so they take a bit more care to keep from disturbing them upon installation. Otherwise, please follow our handy user manual here.
For flat/mountain bike bars, we recommend our Loam Lever, Range Lever, or Puget 2x lever.
Our Range bars are compatible with 31.8mm or 35mm diameter clamp stems, depending on what size bar you choose, and will fit perfectly with our Range or Loam stem in either the 31.8mm or 35mm diameter.
